Our national and global scale allows us to help our clients develop and implement standardized solutions at any of their facilities regardless of physical location or the local resources available at that site. We're expanding our dynamic team and seeking a driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to fuel our growth across our markets. In this pivotal role, you'll spearhead new business acquisitions, forge strategic client relationships, and craft expansion strategies to amplify our market presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and cultivate new business opportunities by identifying and pursuing leads, building relationships with prospective clients, and expanding existing customer accounts.
  • Master solution selling by actively listening to client challenges and positioning E Tech Group's engineering solutions as trusted, problem-solving options.
  • Position E Tech Group as a main automation partner by qualifying new applications, accessing new plant locations, and developing strategic relationships at the corporate level.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling, value-driven technical proposals and aggressively pursue and secure project orders.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts of bookings and opportunities, ensuring an optimal mix of services and materials using tools like Salesforce.
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships with vendors and subcontractors to meet market demands and enhance offerings.
  • Deliver regular updates to senior leadership on business development initiatives, progress, and market trends.
  • Embody the company's core values, prioritizing the success of E Tech Group, clients, and professional development of team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, a technical field, or equivalent education and/or relevant work experience.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in engineering solutions, industrial automation, or controls industries, with an established network of professional contacts.
  • Proven track record of surpassing sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry trends, operational challenges, and technical solutions used by customers.
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales tools, including Salesforce, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with developing and managing strategic alliances.
  • Knowledge of the Life Sciences, Mission Critical, Metals & Mining, Warehousing & Distribution, or CPG/Food & Beverage industries.
