The role involves supporting the firm's litigation practice, particularly in intellectual property and disputes, through business development and marketing activities, with a focus on delivering seamless client service and strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working directly with Senior Business Development Manager and partners to create and manage competitive proposals, credentials, pitches, and presentations, including developing messaging and analyzing data on proposals to identify reasons for wins and losses.
  • Maintaining practice and attorney-specific information in marketing systems to ensure accurate and timely preparation of tailored documents.
  • Developing practice and sector-specific knowledge to identify potential business opportunities and expand existing business.
  • Building and maintaining a flow of market intelligence, including pipeline deals, major players, market shares, key clients, and industry developments, and communicating this within the group.
  • Identifying cross-practice and cross-jurisdictional connections and opportunities, sharing ideas with colleagues to enhance quality and develop best practices.
  • Working with the U.S. client events team to plan and facilitate client events and seminars.
  • Coordinating practice-related sponsorships of conferences, supporting organization, presentation, and deliverables.
  • Seeking and maintaining effective press coverage on major deals and market developments, compiling information for league tables, and drafting legal directory submissions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of legal or professional services experience in a high-profile, fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and strong client focus.
  • Culturally astute team player capable of working effectively with colleagues from other countries on cross-border activities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to write accurate and compelling business development proposals and marketing materials.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to develop an in-depth understanding of IP Litigation, cross-disputes practices, life sciences, healthcare, and technology sectors.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Knowledge of IP Litigation, disputes, or related sectors.
  • Experience with legal or business development tools and systems.
