About the Role

The Business Intelligence Analyst supports enterprise-level decision-making by assembling, preparing, and analyzing data for studies, system requirements, statistical models, and evaluations. The role spans business analysis, systems integration, data visualization, and performance analytics. The analyst works closely with stakeholders and development teams to bridge technical and business needs, ensuring accurate requirements gathering, reporting, and implementation. Ignite is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business headquartered in Huntsville, AL, providing professional services to educational, federal, and commercial clients. The position is located at the U.S. Coast Guard Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) - Information Systems Division (ISD).

Key Responsibilities

Lead planning, coordination, and analysis in electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming efforts.
Assemble and interpret datasets for statistical modeling, forecasting, and evaluation aligned with operational and financial objectives.
Execute change control processes for moderate to highly complex projects, ensuring scope and deliverables are maintained.
Develop and document functional, technical, and non-functional system requirements including performance, availability, and security.
Create dashboards, visual reports, and data stories to present trends and insights to stakeholders.
Participate in design reviews, technical walk-throughs, and application impact analyses across concurrent releases.
Conduct data mining and analysis to support strategic planning, budgeting, and compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements.
Act as liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and aligning goals.
Support Agile DevSecOps workflows by contributing to backlog refinement, user story documentation, and sprint planning.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's or Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Math, Engineering, or a related field; or an IT Certification.
Five (5) years of experience in data analytics, business analysis, or IT project support roles.
Minimum two (2) years of experience in Agile DevSecOps environments.
Minimum two (2) years of experience using Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, or equivalent tools.
Minimum two (2) years of experience preparing diagrams, managing system requirements, and performing data mining and presentation.
Experience in cloud-based architecture testing frameworks and automation scripting.
Strong communication and facilitation skills (written and verbal).
Must be able to obtain a favorable Tier 1 background investigation.

Qualifications

Experience with cloud-based testing frameworks and automation scripting.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to obtain a favorable Tier 1 background investigation.
