Key Responsibilities

Work with stakeholders to understand and accomplish their data needs.
Use BI tech stack (Looker and Snowflake) to deliver business value.
Develop business modeling layer in Looker.
Create Looker dashboards.
Automate data extracts.
Refine and curate data through ETL processes.
Come up with recommendations and ideas for data utilization beyond initial requirements.
Deep dive into data to understand its meaning, idiosyncrasies, and communicate at both technical and business levels.
Ensure business definitions are documented.

Requirements

3+ years of experience with Looker as a data visualization tool.
Strong expertise with SQL and preferred knowledge of LookML.
Ability to mine and understand how data is used for decision making, examine anomalies and patterns.
Ability to map data structures from source/operational systems to curated and medium complexity ETL.
Drive the governance process to ensure stakeholder alignment on data meaning and documentation.
Build the BI layer of abstraction with KPIs needed by stakeholders to measure business performance.
Build reports when needed and train others in BI report creation, concepts, and complexities.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Ability to simplify complex technical jargon into easy-to-understand business language.
Knowledge of data warehousing and modeling concepts.
Familiarity with Github or similar tools for code management.
Self-starter, quick learner, able to juggle multiple priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment.
