Business Intelligence Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the BI team, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and best practices in Power BI and data analysis.
• Design, develop, and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards to ensure usability, performance, and business impact.
• Write and optimize complex DAX calculations to create dynamic and interactive analytics solutions.
• Develop and maintain scalable data models and relationships within Power BI to support efficient reporting.
• Extract, clean, and transform data from multiple sources (SQL Server, APIs, Excel, Fabric, Databricks, etc.).
• Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to improve data retrieval efficiency.
• Automate reporting and data refresh processes, ensuring governance, security, and consistency across BI outputs.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring reports provide clear, actionable insights.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of BI reports through rigorous validation, testing, and documentation.
• Collaborate with key business stakeholders to identify reporting needs and improve decision-making capabilities.
• Oversee ad hoc reporting requests, ensuring they meet business needs while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
• Stay updated on BI industry trends, including Power BI advancements, SQL performance optimization, and data visualization best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting capabilities and business intelligence strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in data science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of experience in BI development, with a focus on Power BI, DAX, and SQL.
• Experience working with data warehouses, Databricks, data visualization, and large datasets.
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and visualization techniques.
• Strong SQL skills for querying, transforming, and optimizing data.
• Experience with Databricks, including data processing, integration, and collaboration in a cloud-based environment.
• Experience in integrating multiple data sources into Power BI.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to optimize reports and troubleshoot data issues.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to create dynamic, user-friendly reports and dashboards.
• Ability to work with sensitive or confidential information.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
