About the Role

The Category Analyst maintains and analyzes the category planning and buying processes and data, providing administrative support to the Category Financial Planner, Buyer, and Divisional Merchandise Planning Manager. The role involves evaluating pricing, managing SKU data, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support the company's goal of helping people create a lifestyle they love.

Key Responsibilities

Create and maintain SKUs, promotional pricing, vendor promo claims (VRAP), and advertising input and updates.
Evaluate invoice discrepancies and perform SKU accuracy audits.
Confirm web crawl (competitor pricing) exceptions and update per category guidelines.
Run post promotion analysis, update on SKU workload status, and address category-specific nuances.
Manage the cost SKU exception process, including vetting invoice pricing.
Assist the Buyer with assortment review and vendor funding management.
Work with internal and external customers on product status and pricing.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
1 year of buying or planning coordinator, administrative, or inventory analysis experience.
Computer knowledge including Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Ability to enter data quickly and accurately.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or early morning hours based on business needs.
Pre-employment screening including criminal background check.
