About the Role

Delta Dental of Iowa is seeking a temporary, part-time Communications and Graphic Design Associate to develop brand-aligned creative and effective visuals to support overall company strategic goals. This role offers hands-on experience across a wide range of marketing functions in a mission-driven environment, including digital campaigns, print materials, social media, event design, and internal communications. The position is located in Johnston, Iowa, and involves working 15-20 hours per week in a hybrid environment.

Key Responsibilities

Create and design content for marketing materials such as blog posts, brochures, newsletters, social media content and weekly internal newsletter.
Coordinate social media activities by creating and scheduling posts, monitoring engagement and helping to grow Delta Dental's online presence.
Assist with web communications by supporting website postings and a new internal intranet initiative.
Assist with communicating the impact and work of Delta Dental of Iowa through various communication channels.
Work closely with graphic designer and the marketing team to design marketing materials that support the company's overall goals, while adhering to brand standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in design, journalism, communications or related field.
Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must have a car, related insurance, and a valid unencumbered driver's license.
Travel and overnight stay may be required.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of Premiere Pro.
Photography, illustration, and/or video shooting or editing skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in design, journalism, communications or related field.
