About the Role

The Community Outreach Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing community outreach and retention strategies to achieve marketing and retention goals by focusing on member education, outreach, and orientation. This role involves engaging members, creating community opportunities, establishing relationships with community leaders and providers, conducting community-based intake and orientation, and tracking results to meet retention targets. The position requires onsite work in Reno, Nevada, fostering face-to-face collaboration and direct engagement within the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engages members to mitigate disenrollment, resolve complex member issues, and assist in accessing correct care.
  • Creates opportunities with events and presentations to reach and educate the community on company programs.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with community leaders, organizations, and churches, acting as a resource for organizations interested in company programs.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships and executes growth and retention strategies with providers within assigned territories.
  • Conducts community-based new member intake and orientation.
  • Measures and tracks results through score carding and identifies root causes to meet assigned retention targets.
  • Delivers presentations, attends meetings, and distributes educational materials to members and non-members.
  • Meets and presents to county and community officials.
  • Develops and manages the area budget.

Requirements

  • Requires a BA/BS degree in sociology, psychology, social work, public health, nursing, or related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of related experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Bilingual skills are preferred.
