About the Role

The Content Coordinator and Developer will carry out research, interactions, and coordination for requesting and gathering assets for the development of a virtual and physical exhibition named 'Shared Lives, Shared Future'. The role involves facilitating the collection, processing, and transfer of assets, assisting with copyright compliance, and generating materials for online use. The position is based in New York, requiring in-person presence at least three times a week, and is expected to last three to four months depending on the start date and project completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out research into topics and story ideas suitable for the exhibition.
  • Develop a list of potential photo-stories and populate it with ideas, in close coordination with UNICs and UN entities.
  • Maintain a system for requesting and acquiring assets, and attending to copyright requirements.
  • Carry out image and digital asset research and development.
  • Interact with interlocutors about materials and their quality and standards, background information, etc.
  • Develop materials for online use.
  • Perform other relevant duties as required.

Requirements

  • Completed a first university degree.
  • At least one year of work experience in public information, communication, outreach, visual materials, or a related field.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal).
  • Must have permission to work in the USA.
  • Experience in gathering and assessing visual communication materials, specifically photography, and familiarity with standards for large-format printed photographs (desirable).
  • Experience working in or closely with the UN System or other organizations involved in development or international cooperation (desirable).
  • Experience in autonomously interacting and coordinating with multiple interlocutors.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in gathering and assessing visual communication materials, specifically photography, and familiarity with the standards for photographs that will need to be printed in large format.
  • Experience working in or closely with the UN System or other organizations involved in development, international cooperation, etc.
  • Experience in autonomously interacting and coordinating with multiple interlocutors.

Qualifications
