About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Craft, edit, and review diverse content, from creative copy to AI model prompts.
• Analyze data and create insightful reports to inform strategic decisions.
• Critically apply guidelines to review content at scale, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Annotate and evaluate qualitative data related to the conversationality of AI models.
• Identify and address conversational quality issues in models through various prompting techniques.
• Develop and test system prompts using natural language to optimize model performance.
• Collaborate with content and product teams to enhance user experience.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, as needed.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in journalism, digital content strategy, production, or related fields.
• Extensive experience in prompt engineering, annotation, and utilizing AI tools.
• Proven critical thinking skills and exceptional editorial judgment regarding nuanced topics (politics, bias, gender, religion, etc.) to ensure quality control of large datasets.
• Familiarity with AP Style.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in spreadsheet applications (e.g., Google Sheets, MS Excel) and/or other data analysis tools.
• Ability to perform basic data analysis and visualization.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of the social media landscape.
• Storytelling experience.
• Experience creating and publishing multimedia content (text, audio, video).
• Background in visual experience (photo editing, video production) or creative writing.
