About the Role

At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle designed to carry people and payloads to various orbits, with a fully reusable first stage. You will work on launch vehicles, space vehicles, and launch facility systems, leading the integrated data systems solution required to certify the program for national security and NASA missions. The position involves developing positive relationships with US government partners, planning sophisticated products, and supporting government certification requests in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and maintenance of integrated data systems to support certification of the New Glenn program.
Ensure data quality, sharing, maintenance, and customer engagement are successfully implemented to meet certification requirements.
Collaborate with US government partners such as the US Space Force and NASA to develop, deliver, and communicate results supporting certification requests.
Plan and execute sophisticated data products across multiple technical subject areas.
Support the certification process for launch services for critical national security and civil science payloads.

Requirements

B.S. degree in engineering or an equivalent technical field.
Proven experience with integrated data environments or data systems.
Familiarity with AWS and UI / Application Development.
Experience with collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
Experience with systems engineering tools (e.g., DOORS), configuration management tools (e.g., Windchill), and secure data-sharing platforms.
Experience with multi-dimensional data records for manufacturing, quality, configuration management, calibration records, work procedures, master equipment lists, etc.
Demonstrated ability to enforce data-marking best practices.
Experience with data platform-specific customer training and engagement metrics.
Solid understanding of project management and resource planning practices.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Ability to make high-quality, high-velocity decisions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Background in product ownership.

Nice to Have

Experience with launch vehicle or aerospace data systems.
Knowledge of government certification processes and standards.
Experience working with government agencies such as NASA or the US Space Force.

Qualifications

U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
