About the Role

The Customer Marketing Director at Coca-Cola is responsible for implementing total beverage marketing strategies based on the overall customer strategy, leveraging national marketing initiatives, and developing long-term customer partnerships. The role involves shaping marketing calendars, conducting stewardship reviews, and supporting customer strategies through consumer insights, brand ideas, and internal tools. The position requires close collaboration with sales and operations teams to drive business growth and foster long-term relationships with key customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement total beverage marketing strategies founded on the overall customer strategy and leverage national marketing initiatives.
  • Construct and deliver annual marketing calendars that contribute to the customer's long-term planning process.
  • Conduct customer marketing stewardship reviews.
  • Seek out and leverage national marketing initiatives, brand ideas, consumer insights, and internal tools/resources to support customer strategies and increase consumer preference.
  • Develop long-term customer partnerships with ownership of senior-level marketing relationships.
  • Champion for both customer and Coca-Cola Company imperatives internally and externally to deliver on growth objectives.
  • Partner closely with Sales and Operations cross-functional teams to drive partnership and business growth.
  • Present consumer and industry insights, interpret their implications, and provide actionable recommendations to support customer business strategies.
  • Identify and leverage customer-specific and channel marketing opportunities through prioritization and linking insights to brand strategy.
  • Provide customer business and opportunity assessments, including competitive analysis and recommendations for future expansion and market integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or equivalent education.
  • 5-10 years of business development experience in a consumer-packaged goods company, agency, or foodservice operator, preferably in both customer management and marketing roles or equivalent marketing leadership experience.
  • Ability to recognize, understand, and interpret consumer behavior, brand strategies, channel, and customer needs and translate this knowledge into results.
  • Knowledge of category innovation, digital ecosystem, agency management, and strategic thinking.
  • Demonstrated personal leadership skills and influencing ability.
  • Proficiency in using account performance data tools to support plans and opportunities.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, including storytelling and persuasive selling.
  • Results-oriented mindset with strong leadership and influencing skills.
  • Skills in account management, customer relationship management (CRM), sales management, and business insights.
  • Ability to analyze data, forecast sales, and support customer marketing initiatives.
  • Strong negotiation skills and customer value creation capabilities.
