About the Role

When you join New York Life, you are joining a company that values career development, collaboration, innovation, and inclusiveness. You will have the opportunity to grow your career while developing personally and professionally through various resources and programs. We are seeking a Platform Product Manager to lead the business-side ecosystem strategy and end-to-end delivery of New York Life's Marketing Intelligence Platform—a foundational layer that combines data, technology, and marketing expertise to power next-generation experiences for consumers and agents. This platform will be a critical enabler of New York Life's Marketing Ecosystem, sitting at the intersection of marketing, data, and technology—fueling personalized journeys, agentic decisioning, and omni-channel activation through segmentation, recommendation engines, identity resolution, clean rooms, and privacy-aware orchestration. It is a high-impact, high-visibility role for a system strategic thinker who thrives being a member of cross-functional teams and shaping enterprise-scale outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand business strategy to identify new and modern marketing platform capabilities and build recommendations to shape prioritization and investment.
  • Work with business and product teams to understand goals and proactively manage feature backlog and prioritization for data-driven experiences.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery processes, create detailed delivery plans, and identify and mitigate delivery risks while balancing expectations and technical feasibility.
  • Partner with the UAT team to ensure platform capabilities meet standards, lead test case creation, prioritize defects, and support reporting and resolution.
  • Collaborate with Business Leads and Product Managers to determine migration and adoption plans for data segmentation and activation platforms, including training and communication plans.
  • Assess the ecosystem's capabilities and external vendor landscape to recommend strategic improvements.
  • Facilitate platform/tool selection and vendor management, including evaluating RFPs and influencing vendor roadmaps.
  • Lead a team of product owners, fostering collaboration, providing coaching, and guiding professional growth.

Requirements

  • Foundational understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
  • Experience enabling modern MarTech and AdTech platforms (e.g., Adobe, Salesforce).
  • Proven ability to document platform and data strategies for innovative marketing solutions.
  • Experience delivering data-driven marketing capabilities using modern platforms.
  • Knowledge of marketing platforms that support content and next-best action recommendations.
  • Ability to partner with stakeholders to document and socialize marketing ecosystem strategies, especially in data-driven capabilities.
  • Background in migrating from traditional marketing automation to modern segmentation and omni-channel platforms.
  • Understanding of consumer privacy regulations impacting marketing activations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with business, technical, design, and data acumen.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in digital marketing and agile product delivery.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Detail-oriented, strategic problem solver, capable of managing multiple initiatives and working both strategically and hands-on.
  • Self-starter, comfortable navigating ambiguity, with strong negotiating and consulting skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in enabling modern MarTech and AdTech platforms and capabilities.
  • Experience with migrating from traditional marketing automation platforms.
  • Experience with privacy regulations impacting marketing activations.
  • Experience managing and mentoring teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience, with 5+ years in digital marketing and agile product delivery.

Benefits & Perks

  • Full package of benefits including leave programs, adoption assistance, and student loan repayment programs.
  • Opportunities for personal and professional growth.
  • Competitive salary range: $122,500 - $180,000, with discretionary bonuses.
  • Work environment with hybrid (3 days/week) designation.
