Cybersecurity Project Manager (Government)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all project related activities and initiatives.
• Direct team members assigned to projects tasks and operational activities.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of the project to ensure that all project goals are accomplished, meeting and/or exceeding commitments.
• Control all elements of the project through effective and consistent communication.
• Develop, deliver and maintain a Program Management Plan and Integrated Master Schedule.
• Communicate project concerns and suggestions, both verbally and in writing, with Program Manager and government leadership.
• Escalate in an appropriate fashion to ensure government leadership is aware of and can decide upon course of action when goals or targets are at risk.

Requirements

• Able to pass police background check.
• Bachelor's Degree with at least four (4) years' experience in project management or four additional years of related experience in lieu of degree.
• Previous experience as a Project Manager, Program Manager, or team leader.
• Experience briefing government leadership and creating reports such as weekly and monthly status reports.
• Knowledge of resource management principles and techniques.
• Knowledge of risk threat assessment methodologies.
• Ability to organize and prioritize numerous customer requests in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Actively maintained PMI PMP certification and/or ISC(2) CISSP certification.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of ITIL service management concepts for networks and related standards.
• PeopleCert ITIL v4 certification.
• Other certifications in networking and/or cybersecurity.
• Knowledge of the acquisition/procurement life cycle process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or four years of related experience in project management.
