About the Role

The Data & Analytics team at Cboe is hiring for a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence. This role involves providing data and analysis for stakeholders to generate insights and inform key business decisions. The role supports designing data sources, visualizations, and ad-hoc analysis to help understand market trends, trading behavior, and evaluate new products and functionality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain functionality for systems that support product and business objectives, including viewing volume trends, understanding trading behavior, quantifying fee impacts, evaluating market quality, and monitoring competitive position.
  • Respond to regulatory initiatives, legal questions, and pilot programs.
  • Inform business decisions regarding new products and functionalities.
  • Assess the effectiveness and impact of new functionality and products.
  • Collaborate with business teams (Markets, Product Development, Derivatives Institute, MarComms) to provide tailored analytics.
  • Work closely with the Data Platform team to create new data sources and automate analyses.
  • Provide input into task and project scheduling.

Requirements

  • Commercial experience with Python programming, SQL, and data analysis tools such as pandas and Jupyter.
  • Working knowledge of Sigma or similar data visualization tools.
  • Experience with modeling, statistics, and analysis.
  • High level of detail orientation and excellent communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and intellectual curiosity.
  • Innovative problem-solving ability to quickly identify and understand issues.
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, finance, statistics, financial engineering, data science, or a similar field.
  • 0-1+ years of work experience.

Nice to Have

  • Financial services experience.
  • Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, or similar programming.
