About the Role

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, innovative and detailed individual for our Data Analyst Intern position. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to work part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer in Pullman, WA. If you are looking for the opportunity to support data analysis services within SEL's Manufacturing division, then this position is for you!

Key Responsibilities

Review data and create charts, dashboards, and reports as assigned.
Develop ways to avoid and deter data inconsistencies at the source in addition to review, validate, research, clean and transform those inconsistencies.
Support analysts to improve current reports and data sources.

Requirements

Current student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field of study.
Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access.
Strong analytical, judgment, organizational, and project management skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
Ability to learn and communicate technical/scientific information.
Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team environment.
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
Background check results satisfactory to SEL and negative drug test result(s).

Nice to Have

Experience with Python, SQL or other analytic languages.
Experience with reporting software, such as Power BI.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.

Intern pay is determined based on the internship role and your year in school.
Pay rate ranges from $18.00 to $25.00 per hour.
