About the Role

FocusKPI is seeking a Data Analyst (SEO) to work with our client in a hybrid work environment based in the Bay Area. The role involves leveraging data analysis techniques to improve organic SEO performance, collaborating with various teams, and providing insights to support business strategies. The position is initially for 7 weeks with the potential for extension depending on performance.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with the SEO Analytics and Performance team
Leverage new techniques to investigate data and incorporate external information to enhance market knowledge
Research and implement content recommendations for organic SEO success
Track, report, and analyze website analytics
Communicate complex data findings clearly and concisely to multi-disciplinary teams
Collaborate with stakeholders including product, marketing, and finance on initiatives that improve company-level KPIs and align with business priorities
Provide analytics insights about customer behavior and web user behavior
Perform ad-hoc analysis to address urgent high-impact business questions

Requirements

Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a closely related field; MS degree preferred
3-5 years of industry experience with analysis experience to build data-driven products for solving business problems
Proficient in SQL and/or other data query languages
Experience in handling large-scale data efficiently
Experience with Python is required
Proven SEO experience demonstrated by results achieved in previous roles
Proficient in scripting languages such as Python and data visualization tools like Tableau
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with campaign analytics and promotions
Experience with e-commerce web-based products and companies
Excellent communication skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in relevant field
MS degree is preferred
