About the Role

You will lead a small team of data development and reporting professionals. You will be responsible for driving the vision of the organization while overseeing the day-to-day activities of your team. This role requires the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, establish partnerships, and leverage cross-functional virtual teams to achieve organizational goals. The position involves a passion for data, reporting, and analysis, with a focus on maintaining design, development, and quality standards through a structured development process and close collaboration. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, work well in a team environment, and possess thorough knowledge of data transformation, business intelligence methodologies, and related infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the improvements and advancement of reporting and data capabilities across the organization, including analytics skills, data visualization, insights, and storytelling.
  • Contribute to the vision and strategy for the Analytics program and develop an engagement model to support each functional area of the technology and operations organization.
  • Collaborate across all functional areas to translate business problems into optimal data modeling and analytical solutions that drive business value.
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of complex data sets to provide actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics.
  • Create and maintain PowerBI dashboards, analyze data, and provide insights and reporting for the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of data analysts and reporting specialists. Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in data development, analysis, and reporting, with a strong understanding of data architecture principles, methods, techniques, and technologies.
  • 8+ years of experience with data analysis tools and software such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI.
  • 3+ years of strong leadership and team management experience, with effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven experience in managing data development, analytics, and reporting to implement data solutions that meet strategic and tactical business needs.
  • Deep knowledge of best practices across data-related disciplines and technologies, including data management, data governance, and data warehousing.
  • Bachelor's degree in data science, data analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms like Snowflake, AWS.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and predictive analytics.
  • Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards.
