About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, maintenance and evolution of scalable data pipelines, data structures, source systems and warehouse/lake environments.
• Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to manage, structure, and analyze data from various sources to solve business problems.
• Adept at managing projects from inception to completion.
• Contribute to documentation of data models, dictionaries, data flow maps, and metadata to support transparency and data governance.
• Hands on support of the current ETL processes, share responsibilities for monitoring the current data pipelines and processes.
• Effectively manage project requirements, ensure timely delivery, and maintain high-quality standards.
• Identify opportunities, assess problems, and recommend and implement the best solutions.
• Partner with technical teams and stakeholders to implement data capture, ETL, validation, and QA.
• Support diverse team efforts while managing multiple projects and priorities, ensuring quality and timeliness.
• Contribute to the development and enforcement of data governance and security policies.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in technology and data management practices.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Software engineering, Information technology, Data and Analytics, Data science or equivalent degree.
• 3 - 4 years of experience with building and maintaining data lake and data solutions.
• Strong understanding of data structures, database objects, data normalization and data transformation techniques.
• Proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex stored procedures for data processing.
• Familiarity with Snowflake preferred.
• Knowledge of pipeline tools.
• Proficiency in Python required.
• Experience in building highly insightful dashboards using visualization tools (Power BI preferred).
• Thorough understanding and ability to lead through agile and waterfall methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with CI/CD using Git.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Snowflake.
• Experience with FiveTran.
