About the Role

This role is for a Data Insights Lead at AXIS Capital, a global provider of specialty lines insurance and reinsurance. The team is responsible for building and maintaining reporting, MI, and strategic data solutions, working closely with stakeholders and technical teams to ensure high-quality, impactful insights.

Key Responsibilities

Overseeing data visualization developers to build and maintain reports, dashboards, and information assets that inform and satisfy internal and external stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization to support their data and MI needs, providing clear communication and understanding their challenges.
Ensure insights are part of a wider story and deliver maximum impact, focusing on business priorities and effective storytelling.
Be the primary point of contact for day-to-day data and analytics requirements, providing high-quality, consumable data and insights to enable decision-making.
Ensure the delivery of high-quality outputs and reports by adhering to standards for report structure, data interpretation, and metric calculation.
Support the design and development of a central framework for organizing, cataloguing, and marketing data insights and reports, collaborating with citizen developers.
Work closely with the wider Data & Analytics organization and technical teams to ensure solutions inform upstream requirements such as data capture, architecture, and governance.

Requirements

Experience in relevant roles within the (re)insurance industry.
Exceptional communication skills for working collaboratively with stakeholders, the BTS organization, and the wider Data & Analytics group.
Deep understanding of how to communicate messages through data and MI, including report structures, metrics, and visualizations.
Strong knowledge of insurance industry data and information needs across multiple functions, with experience in UK, Bermuda, and US markets being a plus.
Technical knowledge around tools used in support of data visualization.
Ability to build reports and dashboards.
Ability to prioritize effectively, adapt to changing priorities, and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to influence outcomes.
Experience working with technical teams and managing multiple work streams with dynamic priorities.

Nice to Have

Experience working with Power BI.
Experience in UK, Bermuda, and US Insurance markets.

Qualifications

Relevant experience in the (re)insurance industry.
