About the Role

Piper Companies is seeking a Data Modeling Technician to join an established Healthcare organization located in Maryland. This is a remote contract to possible hire opportunity. The Data Modeling Technician oversees the health, performance, and operations of the Master Patient Index (MPI) system, leading a technical team to ensure data integrity, support system enhancements, and onboard new participants into the health information exchange.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the MPI team's workload, project intake, and progress reporting.
Maintain and support the IBM MDM infrastructure, ensuring system performance and data integrity.
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to implement system enhancements and resolve issues.
Develop and maintain data quality dashboards and analytics to monitor MPI performance.
Ensure compliance with privacy and security standards across all MPI operations.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
2-5 years of experience with SQL, Databricks, Data Factory, and API troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of large-scale databases and complex data structures.
Experience with IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management (preferred).
Familiarity with healthcare IT systems and integration standards (preferred).
Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with strong time management.
Commitment to high-quality customer service and operational excellence.

Nice to Have

Experience with IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management.
Familiarity with healthcare IT systems and integration standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Target Salary Upon Conversion: $85,000-$110,000 depending on experience.
