About the Role

The Data Science Senior Analyst role at McKinsey & Company in Chicago involves collaborating with colleagues and clients to develop strategies across various projects such as customer life-cycle management, marketing ROI, pricing, promotions, and analytic transformation. The role is part of the Growth, Marketing & Sales practice, which helps clients in consumer and B2B environments to transform their marketing and sales operations and build customer-centric organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to create new strategies across projects including customer life-cycle management, MROI, pricing, promotions, and marketing mix modeling.
  • Help expand current analytics capabilities and architect new strategies and applications within the organization.
  • Shape the future of data-driven organizations by driving processes for data extraction and creative data usage.
  • Conduct deep analytics on broad sets of client and external data to derive insights and solve complex business problems.
  • Advise teams on advanced analytic and quantitative tools and modeling techniques to improve decision-making.
  • Lead and support the development of knowledge within the firm's analytics group, including creating roadmaps and partnering with other analytics consultants.

Requirements

  • Experience in applying advanced analytic and quantitative tools and modeling techniques.
  • Ability to conduct deep analytics on large and complex data sets.
  • Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in developing and implementing data-driven strategies.
  • Familiarity with marketing, sales, and customer insights is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with marketing mix modeling, digital marketing, or marketing ROI.
  • Background in customer insights, pricing, or sales and channel management.
  • Previous consulting experience in marketing or analytics.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in data analytics, modeling, or related fields.
  • Proficiency with analytic tools and techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
