About the Role

As a data scientist at Booz Allen, you will work on unlocking insights from complex data sets using your expertise in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. You will collaborate with clients across various sectors to develop algorithms and systems that turn data into actionable information, helping solve global challenges and support informed decision-making. The role involves leading the development of solutions, guiding teammates, and applying the right tools and frameworks to analyze structured and unstructured data.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs related to data analysis.
Dig into data-rich environments to find relevant information and insights.
Guide teammates and lead the development of algorithms and systems to solve complex problems.
Use appropriate tools and frameworks to analyze data and develop predictive models.
Develop solutions involving natural language processing, text mining, or machine learning techniques.
Analyze structured and unstructured data sources to extract meaningful insights.

Requirements

8+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining.
5+ years of experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources.
3+ years of experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis.
Experience developing predictive data models, conducting quantitative analyses, and visualizing data.
Experience leading the development of solutions to complex problems.
Experience with natural language processing, text mining, or machine learning techniques.
Secret clearance.
Bachelor's degree.

Nice to Have

Experience in the development of algorithms leveraging Python and SQL.
Experience developing solutions incorporating Large Language Models.
Experience with distributed data or computing tools such as Spark.
Experience with Python data science and visualization packages.
