Data Scientist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Work in alignment with data strategy at various clients, using multiple technologies and platforms.
• Implement end-to-end Gen AI and Agentic AI solutions, including fine-tuning large language models.
• Identify the 'right' problem, design 'optimum' solutions, and deploy models to production using best practices.
• Deploy Gen AI applications with frameworks like LangGraph, AutoGen, or Crew AI across platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, IBM Watson.
• Process and ingest unstructured data from PDFs, HTML, images, audio, etc.
• Work with advanced LLM concepts like prompt compression, fine-tuning, caching, and multimodal models.
• Utilize vector databases such as FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate, or Azure AI Search.
• Evaluate models using tools like DeepEval, FMeval, RAGAS, Bedrock, including human-in-the-loop feedback.
• Implement LLMOps practices including prompt versioning, caching, observability, and cost tracking.
• Ensure AI governance, data privacy, model safety, and compliance requirements are met.
• Collaborate with offshore teams and coordinate travel as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with at least 8 years of IT experience.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with GenAI / Agentic AI, data science, and machine learning.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience deploying Gen AI applications with frameworks like LangGraph, AutoGen, or Crew AI.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, IBM Watson.
• Experience with large language models, RAG solutions, and processing unstructured data.
• Knowledge of vector search, advanced LLM concepts, and multimodal models.
• Experience with model evaluation tools and LLMOps practices.
• Understanding of AI governance, data privacy, and enterprise compliance.
• Experience with data gathering, data quality, microservices architecture, and coding best practices.
• Familiarity with Agile/Lean methodologies and ability to coordinate with offshore teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with multiple programming languages such as R, Scala, Java, SQL.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform.
• Proficiency in NoSQL and SQL databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, CosmosDB, DynamoDB.
• Deep learning experience with CNNs, RNNs, LSTMs, and current research trends.
• Experience with Python AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain.
• Proficiency in building RESTful APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Experience with perception (computer vision), time series data, and big data tools like Spark, Hive.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau and statistical testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; three years of experience in lieu of education.
• At least 8 years of IT experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in GenAI / Agentic AI and data science.
