About the Role

As a data scientist at Booz Allen, you'll work on unlocking insights from complex data sets using your expertise in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. You will support both private and public sector projects, helping to solve global challenges by transforming data into actionable information. The role involves collaborating with clients, developing algorithms, and guiding teams to create impactful solutions in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs related to data.
Dig into data-rich environments to find relevant information and insights.
Guide teammates and lead the development of algorithms and systems.
Use appropriate tools and frameworks to turn disparate data points into objective answers.
Provide a deep understanding of data, its meaning, and potential applications.

Requirements

2+ years of experience supporting the U.S. military or federal government.
Knowledge of data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining.
Knowledge of statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis.
Ability to develop predictive data models, perform quantitative analyses, and visualize targeted data sources.
Ability to assist with the development of solutions to complex problems.
Secret clearance.
HS diploma or GED.

Nice to Have

Experience in the development of algorithms leveraging Python and SQL.
Experience developing solutions incorporating Large Language Models.
Experience with distributed data or computing tools such as Spark.
Experience with Python data science and visualization packages.
