Data Scientist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Create Dashboards using AWS QuickSight with visuals and tables for end users to gain insights into various business processes.
• Demo work in virtual settings with clients and end users to gather feedback and enhance dashboards to meet business requirements.
• Work within a SAFe scaled agile framework, collaborating with data scientists, data engineers, quality engineers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure solutions meet client needs with high quality.
• Create and maintain datasets from disparate data sources and provide analysis using SQL and QuickSight.
• Balance technical data architecture and data flows with end user UX best practices.
• Tell stories with data, educate effectively, and motivate stakeholders to act on recommendations.
• Engage with Data Engineering to build out data infrastructure (DBT).
• Participate in code reviews in GitHub and share knowledge, especially when building solutions within specific business domains.
• Partner with customers, product owners, and business analysts to gather requirements or create mockups of dashboard solutions.
• Collaborate with data scientists and data engineers across the company.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5 years' experience in data & analytics projects using data applications to develop insights from large datasets.
• 5 years' excellent problem-solving skills and end-to-end quantitative thinking.
• 2 years' experience working with tools like JIRA, GitHub, and Confluence.
• 2 years' experience with AWS cloud platforms.
• 2 years' strong understanding of relational database and data warehousing concepts (e.g., OLAP, dimensional modeling).
• 2 years' experience with statistical software and database management software (e.g., R, Python, SAS).
• 2 years' experience with analytical and visualization software packages (e.g., QuickSight, PowerBI, Tableau, GIS software).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Reside in the U.S., authorized to work in the U.S., and have lived in the U.S. for three of the last five years.

Nice to Have

• Experience with data linking, advanced data management, combining data from different sources, automation, and deploying data science solutions at scale.
• Experience in data organization, cleaning, treating, and knowledge of version control and reproducibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

• Pay range from $73,722 to $125,327 based on experience and other factors.
