About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Take on data science projects from start to finish, including working with stakeholders to agree project KPIs, and reporting on progress and outcomes throughout projects at agreed cadence
• Deliver high-quality analysis, customer segmentation and predictive models which help drive incremental revenue through optimal automated bonus spend distribution
• Improve understanding of customer behaviors, efficiency of promotions, and effectiveness of bonus spend
• Develop new and innovative ways to turn behaviors into features for analysis, segmentation, and predictive modeling through idea generation and exploratory analysis
• Create, modify, and evolve models which solve business problems and demonstrate improvements to department KPIs
• Demonstrate accurate insights and predictions using visualizations and clear explanations of results, methods, biases, and limitations
• Work with Data Engineering and Analytics Engineer to optimize data quality and data modeling pipelines
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and support strategic objectives
• Assist in coaching, developing, and performance managing less experienced team members
• Contribute new ideas for data science projects with potential to improve revenue performance or customer experience

Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years of previous Data Science or Analytics Experience
• Minimum 1+ years building and deploying complex machine learning models with real-world applications
• Developed technical skill set facilitating high-quality, efficient, and comprehensive quantitative analysis
• Proficient in SQL and experience manipulating large datasets in Microsoft Excel
• Proficient in statistical or programming software and techniques (e.g., Python, R, C#, VBA)
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience explaining technical projects to non-technical stakeholders
• Interest or experience in the Sports betting industry is an advantage

Nice to Have

• Experience working with data visualization tools like Tableau
• Interest in sports

• Salary range of $116,000 - $145,000 USD, dependent on experience and location
