About the Role

As a data scientist at Booz Allen, you will work on unlocking insights from complex data sets to solve global challenges across various sectors such as fraud detection, cancer research, and national intelligence. You will use your analytical skills and data science knowledge to develop algorithms, systems, and frameworks that turn disparate data points into objective answers, helping clients make informed decisions. The role involves collaborating closely with clients to understand their needs and applying data science for impactful solutions in an environment that values flexibility and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs related to data analysis.
Dig into data-rich environments to find relevant information and insights.
Develop algorithms and systems to analyze data and generate objective answers.
Use appropriate tools and frameworks to process and interpret large and complex datasets.
Provide a deep understanding of data and communicate findings effectively to clients.

Requirements

1+ years of experience in statistics, operations research, or advanced mathematics.
Experience with R or Python.
Experience using scientific methods to inform qualitative and quantitative analyses.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
HS diploma or GED.

Nice to Have

Experience with optimization, modeling and simulation, prediction, estimation, decision analysis, or engineering management.
Experience analyzing large-scale datasets.
Experience with data gathering, cleansing, and parsing.
Experience developing and applying optimization and simulation models.
Ability to work in Windows and Linux OS environments.
Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or Data Science.

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED (minimum educational requirement).
Experience with data science tools and methodologies.
Security clearance eligibility for TS/SCI with polygraph.
