Job Description

About the Role

As a Data Scientist at Booz Allen, you'll use your analytical skills and data science knowledge to create real-world impact by turning complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges across private and public sectors. You will work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs, develop algorithms and systems, and leverage tools and frameworks to provide objective answers that help clients make informed decisions. The role involves applying data science for good in an increasingly connected world, utilizing IoT, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to unlock insights from structured and unstructured data.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs related to data analysis.
Dig into data-rich environments to find relevant information and insights.
Develop algorithms and systems to analyze data and generate objective answers.
Use appropriate tools and frameworks to turn disparate data points into meaningful conclusions.
Provide a deep understanding of data, its implications, and potential uses.

Requirements

3+ years of experience with implementing machine learning models to analyze collected data in Python, leveraging libraries.
2+ years of experience with analyzing structured and unstructured data sources.
Experience with data cleansing, data analytics, inferential statistics, programming, and system integration.
Experience with engineering, testing, and evaluating the performance of AI prompts.
Knowledge of analytic methods and methodological tools in applied mathematics or computer programming.
Ability to execute projects and tasks with minimal guidance and supervision.
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
Bachelor's degree.

Nice to Have

Experience with AWS, including S3 or Lambda, or other cloud service providers.
Experience with technical documentation.
Ability to apply supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms on structured and unstructured datasets.
Possession of excellent critical thinking skills to assess numbers, trends, and data to reach new conclusions.
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Master's degree.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred).
TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
