About the Role

TransUnion is seeking a Data Scientist to analyze large datasets, develop data-driven strategies, support legal, regulatory, and compliance investigations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced analytics tools and techniques to analyze large datasets and uncover insights and produce evidence.
  • Develop and implement data-driven strategies to identify and resolve issues.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to support business needs, including legal, regulatory, and compliance investigations.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of systems and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, investigation parameters, and objectives.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to clearly communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Ensure all investigative processes comply with policy and are well documented.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in legal, regulatory, and compliance investigations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools such as SQL, Python, R, and data visualization software.
  • Strong understanding of logic, definitions, and argumentation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications

  • Educational background with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Business, or a related field.
