About the Role

As a data scientist at Booz Allen, you will work on unlocking insights from complex data sets using your expertise in data science, machine learning, and AI. You will collaborate with clients across various sectors to develop algorithms and systems that turn data into actionable information, ultimately making a positive impact through data science for good.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs related to data.
Analyze data-rich environments to find relevant information and insights.
Guide teammates and lead the development of algorithms and systems.
Use appropriate tools and frameworks to transform disparate data points into objective answers.
Develop predictive data models, conduct quantitative analyses, and visualize targeted data sources.
Lead the development of solutions to complex problems.

Requirements

5+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining.
5+ years of experience analyzing structured and unstructured data.
3+ years of experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis.
Experience wrangling data from disparate databases and APIs for analysis.
Experience developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualization of targeted data sources.
Experience leading the development of solutions to complex problems.
Experience with natural language processing, text mining, or machine learning techniques.
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
Bachelor's degree.

Nice to Have

Experience in the development of algorithms leveraging Python and SQL.
Experience with engineering AI solutions, including accessing Large Language Model (LLM) APIs, self-hosting LLMs, fine-tuning LLMs, or implementing Model Context Protocol.
Experience with developing production-quality machine learning models or pipelines.
Experience with distributed data or computing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Hadoop MapReduce, or HPCC ECL.
Experience with Python data science and visualization packages.
