The role reports to the Director of Data Science and collaborates with Data Science, Product, and Engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and productionize new AI driven features integrated with Medidata products.
Design, develop, and validate AI solutions for novel clinical trial applications.
Interact with product team to understand product needs and provide AI solutions including data, modeling strategies, and model serving.
Develop prototypes demonstrating how models can be used within customer-facing products.
Evaluate and assess novel tools, algorithms, and technologies to enable the AI community.
Build end-to-end machine learning pipelines from data curation, processing, model building, evaluation, to deployment for production.

Requirements

Master's or PhD in a computational field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field with at least 1 year of experience.
Proficiency in Python, SQL, Linux shell scripting, AWS, Docker, and Git.
Experience with machine learning techniques including classification and deep learning.
Experience with AI service development, including knowledge of model serving strategies and API services related to performance, latency, and scalability.
Fluency in statistical tools and programming languages for data handling.

Nice to Have

Experience with LLM or transformer-based algorithms and methods.
Familiarity with NLP in healthcare data datasets in production.
Knowledge of machine learning infrastructure, frameworks, CI/CD, and MLOps.
Experience with deep learning is preferred.

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in a relevant computational field.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in related roles.

Salary range for NYC Metro Area: $96,000 - $128,000.
