The role of Senior Economist within the Market Sizing Forecasting (MSF) team involves leveraging economic analysis and forecasting expertise to support Intel's business objectives and corporate strategy, working closely with cross-functional teams to analyze market trends, develop economic models, and deliver strategic insights to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the technology sector.
  • Develop and maintain economic models to forecast units, revenues, and product mix of PCs, servers, and other devices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making processes and corporate strategy.
  • Provide regular worldwide economic updates and insights to senior leadership to support business planning.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on economic trends and forecasts to various stakeholders within Intel.
  • Manage and organize large datasets using industry, economic, and company data to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
  • Support special studies and projects as requested by management.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and emerging economic trends.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in economics, statistics, business administration, finance, STEM, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in economic analysis, forecasting, and data analytics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey insights to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Proven project management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to work independently and collaboratively within an international team.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.

Nice to Have

  • A Ph.D.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications include a Master's degree in a relevant field and 4+ years of related experience.
  • Preferred qualification is a Ph.D.
