Senior Manager - Data Science

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers to develop and deploy advanced AI/ML solutions for marketing, customer, and sales.
• Define and execute data science roadmaps aligned with business goals, including performance targets for customer acquisition, personalization, lifecycle management, and sales optimization.
• Oversee the development of predictive models such as marketing mix modeling (MMM), customer lifetime value (LTV) forecasting, and propensity models to inform strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to integrate data insights into operations, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
• Manage resources, budgets, and talent development to build high-performing teams, promoting a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Stay abreast of industry trends in AI/ML, big data, and automotive analytics to drive innovation and maintain Toyota's competitive edge.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD (preferred) in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in data science, with at least 5+ years in a managerial role leading teams in marketing, customer, or sales data science.
• Proven expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and tools like Python, SQL, or similar, with hands-on experience deploying solutions in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable strategies for non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in the automotive or high-value consumer-facing industry, with a track record of delivering impactful outcomes in customer segmentation, campaign optimization, and sales forecasting.

Nice to Have

• Experience with automotive-specific data, such as consumer online footprint, connected vehicle insights, or dealer performance analytics.
• Familiarity with advanced techniques like generative AI, optimization algorithms, or experimentation frameworks.
• Prior leadership in cross-functional projects involving marketing technology stacks.
