About the Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Data Scientist with wargaming experience to join our Advanced Analytics Lab at BAE Systems. The role involves developing advanced analytics, machine learning models, and supporting wargaming simulation efforts to aid mission planning and decision-making. Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement machine learning models for anomaly detection and predictive analytics
Design and optimize data pipelines for large-scale data processing
Create interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools like Power BI
Contribute to the development of AI-driven automation solutions
Lead wargaming simulation efforts for mission planning and scenario analysis
Configure and analyze complex simulation environments for tactical decision support
Assist in the development and improvement of wargaming tools and methodologies
Collaborate on projects involving natural language processing and large language models
Participate in cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions for complex problems

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computational Modeling, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field
Proficiency in Python, with experience in libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn
Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and techniques
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and containerization (e.g., Docker)
Familiarity with wargaming simulation tools and methodologies
Experience in configuring simulation environments and analyzing outputs

Nice to Have

Experience with high-performance computing and GPU acceleration (CUDA, OpenMP)
Knowledge of Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Query)
Familiarity with government contracting processes and security protocols
Experience with natural language processing and large language models
Advanced knowledge of military tactics and strategy
