About the Role

As a data scientist at Booz Allen, you'll use your analytical skills and data science knowledge to create real-world impact across private and public sectors. You will work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs, analyze complex data environments, develop algorithms and systems, and turn disparate data points into objective answers to help clients make informed decisions. The role involves leveraging data science for good in a connected world filled with structured and unstructured data, with applications ranging from fraud detection to national intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs related to data analysis.
Analyze structured and unstructured data sources to extract meaningful insights.
Develop algorithms and systems to process and interpret complex data sets.
Use appropriate tools and frameworks to turn data into objective answers for clients.
Create data visualizations and perform data mining, exploration, and cleaning tasks.
Apply machine learning, natural language processing, and text mining techniques to data sets.
Implement automation in processing, presenting, or manipulating data.

Requirements

4+ years of experience with network development or targeting.
3+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining.
3+ years of experience with analyzing structured and unstructured data sources.
Experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis.
Experience with developing predictive data models and quantitative analyses.
Experience with natural language processing, text mining, or machine learning techniques.
Experience implementing automation in data processing.
Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
Bachelor's degree.

Nice to Have

4+ years of experience as a strategic all-source intelligence analyst.
3+ years of experience with targeting or network development analysis within the IC or Combatant Command environments.
3+ years of experience using high-side tools such as Analyst Notebook, ArcGIS, JEMA, DataXplorer, and VOLTRON.
Experience working with SIGINT and HUMINT.
Experience in developing algorithms leveraging Python and SQL.
Experience with developing solutions incorporating Large Language Models.
Experience with Python data science and visualization packages.
Experience with Excel VBA.
Knowledge of ICD 203.
