Key Responsibilities

Support Council staff to comply with the Council's data and information management procedures, governance and relevant legislation by providing technology solutions, advice and guidance for data management and governance practices.
Improve, enhance, and automate data processes to meet business data requirements and increase data quality standards.
Create and analyse views, triggers, and stored procedures using SQL programming language from data sourced from multiple corporate systems.
Identify, understand requirements, and automate data processes using tooling such as FME, SQL, and RPA.
Design relational databases and data models using SQL and PowerDesigner.
Support Council Information Stewards to troubleshoot and correct data problems using Data Management tools.
Interface with business and functional analysts to ensure proper integration of data processes and procedures.
Assist in defining technical requirements for system maintenance and future functionality.
Provide technical support to users on data structure, data management, and SQL scripts.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years' experience in a related role working with applications and skills such as SQL, FME, RPA, UiPath, Power Platform, GIS Tools (ESRI), Asset Management Systems (SAP), CASE Tools (PowerDesigner).
Bachelor's level qualification in computer science, information science, or related field, or relevant experience demonstrating an equivalent level of knowledge.
At least two years of experience in a digital corporate environment.
Effective stakeholder engagement and relationship development skills.
An all-in attitude, being hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented.

Nice to Have

Experience with Power Platform, GIS Tools (ESRI), Asset Management Systems (SAP), and CASE Tools (PowerDesigner).
Experience working in a municipal or government environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's level qualification in computer science, information science, or related field, or relevant experience.
