About the Role

The Database Marketing Analyst (Martech) at Hilton Grand Vacations is responsible for data extraction, analysis, and lead generation with a focus on Marketing Technology data elements. The role involves analyzing marketing data and campaigns to evaluate and improve marketing programs, running analytical reports, tracking effectiveness, identifying new leads, and monitoring database updates to ensure data accuracy. The position offers an opportunity to work with complex marketing functions and assist with audits to maintain data excellence within a company that values a people-first culture and employee well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, deployment, and maintenance of new and existing marketing applications with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate with business partners and management to strategically plan and improve processes to drive better campaign results and increase sales revenues.
  • Track and audit web events from GA4 to provide meaningful insights around website and campaign performance.
  • Assist with data migration between various MarTech systems such as GCP, BigQuery, Segment, Databricks, and GA4 to contribute to understanding the customer journey.
  • Contribute critical support in the day-to-day execution of marketing tools, including campaign management via SQL and database analysis.
  • Work with Data Warehouse and other teams to source new data and resolve database and data warehouse system issues.
  • Understand table structures, fields, and update processes of the database and analyze areas for organization and improvement.
  • Create processes and scripts to improve the speed and efficiency of data extraction for direct marketing campaigns.
  • Create and maintain procedures for interacting with databases and internal systems.
  • Perform miscellaneous database marketing-related tasks as assigned.
  • Assist in training to build a high-performance analyst team.
  • Keep management informed of important developments and coordinate activities with others to ensure a team approach.
  • Build complex datasets and transform them into actionable insights through various BI tools.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in campaign management, data extraction, and list or lead generation.
  • BA/BS/Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience in database marketing, managing large data sets, and working in campaign management systems.
  • 5+ years demonstrated knowledge of SQL Server, GA4, Databricks, Segment, BigQuery, Google Cloud Platform, and/or other relational database technology, specifically writing complex queries and stored procedures.
  • Strong data mining skills and the ability to apply intuition to results.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Disciplined, analytical, but creative thinker and problem solver.

Nice to Have

  • Fully access and understand data sources for analysis including Adobe Campaign Classic, Alteryx, SSIS, SSRS, Tableau, CRM, COGNOS, Segment, Databricks, and other systems.
  • Proficiency in all modules of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to interact coherently with various departments and management levels.
