Job Description

About the Role

Everyone is trying to "harness the cloud," but not everyone knows how. As a DevOps engineer, you're eager to develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client's needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. You will help develop container management software to solve some of the toughest challenges faced by clients. Working at Booz Allen, you can use your technical skills to affect mission-forward change, strengthen your skills with the latest cloud technologies, and support your team in ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process. You will work with your team to recommend resources for managing and securely adopting containers and gain DevOps skills while supporting critical cloud platform development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and secure container platforms to meet client needs and leverage cloud capabilities.
  • Support the development of container management software to solve client challenges.
  • Use cloud platform technology to improve client environments with current container software and ensure seamless orchestration.
  • Inform strategy and design related to containerization while ensuring standards are met.
  • Recommend resources to help clients manage and securely adopt containers.
  • Support the development of critical cloud platforms and improve DevOps processes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with Ansible and automating system operations.
  • 3+ years of experience with Linux systems, patching, component installation, and configuration.
  • 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes, RKE2, or cloud-based Kubernetes stacks.
  • 1+ year experience with Terraform or infrastructure as code tools.
  • 1+ year of experience with CI/CD stacks, Jenkins or Gitlab.
  • Experience creating helm charts and managing images with Docker/Podman.
  • Experience with using AWS or Azure Cloud.
  • Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of tools, including Istio, ArgoCD, and Grafana.
  • CKA or CKAD Certification.
