Job Description

About the Role

This role requires a highly personable, intelligent individual with the ability to lead sales efforts focused on digital platforms while maintaining an energetic, strategic, and entrepreneurial spirit. It is a business development role involving full cycle sales, prospecting, closing new clients, and collaborating with them to provide advertising and marketing solutions, including website development, SEO, social media, search engine marketing, display advertising, video content, mobile advertising, and brand content solutions. The position involves working remotely within the Washington DC Region, making tech-based and in-person sales calls with local business owners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and close new clients, developing tailored account plans and client solutions.
  • Assist businesses in optimizing their online presence through digital and print marketing strategies.
  • Identify market potential and develop sales strategies across multiple platforms including digital media, mobile, niche publications, promotions, and traditional newspapers.
  • Actively pursue and secure new business and revenue streams.
  • Retain, manage, and expand the client base in the digital landscape.
  • Collaborate within a team to manage client relationships and increase account revenue.
  • Articulate and present the product suite to business decision-makers effectively.
  • Maintain proactive communication with customers via phone, video conferencing, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Conduct face-to-face customer meetings, presentations, proposals, and demonstrations.
  • Manage a sales pipeline and devise strategies for long-term success.
  • Conduct regular client check-ins, upsell/cross-sell accounts, and address client concerns.
  • Utilize CRM (Salesforce) effectively, recording all sales activities accurately.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Digital Marketing (Google AdWords, Analytics certifications preferred but not required).
  • 5+ years of experience in high acquisition, consultative B2B Sales role.
  • Prior success in building a new book of business.
  • A problem solver who thrives on challenges and can simplify complex issues.
  • Possesses a competitive nature and a collaborative team spirit.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Role requires a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and minimum liability insurance.

Nice to Have

  • Certifications in Google AdWords and Analytics are preferred but not required.
