About the Role

Michael Kinder & Sons (MKS), a leader in commercial construction and a fourth-generation family-owned design-build firm serving the Midwest, is seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist to elevate their brand through compelling visuals, strategic messaging, and consistent digital engagement. The role involves storytelling through photography, videography, design, and digital media, with a focus on translating marketing efforts into measurable impact. Key Responsibilities

Create and produce high-quality visual content including photography and videography of projects, events, and team culture.
Edit and produce engaging visual content for digital and print platforms.
Maintain an organized library of media assets for internal and external use.
Manage and grow MKS's presence across social media platforms by developing and scheduling content.
Design branded materials such as brochures, signage, presentations, and internal documents to ensure visual consistency.
Support proposal creation with customized graphics and layouts.
Draft and distribute email campaigns and client updates, coordinate messaging for events, sponsorships, and community involvement.
Plan and execute paid advertising campaigns (Google, LinkedIn, etc.), track performance, and optimize for reach and engagement.
Update website content including project pages, capabilities, and news posts.
Collaborate with Business Development and Project teams to create tailored proposals and assist in formatting, drafting, and enhancing visuals for client-facing documents.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in digital marketing, graphic design, or related field.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro).
Experience with social media management tools and email marketing platforms.
Familiarity with website CMS platforms.
Strong written communication and organizational skills.
Photography and videography experience required; drone certification a plus.
A strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design, videography, and photography skills.

Nice to Have

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or related field.
Experience with drone certification.
