About the Role

The Digital Media Student Assistant position at Angelo State University involves working closely with the digital media team to create trendy, on-brand content for the university's flagship Instagram account. The role includes brainstorming, creating social media content, live event coverage, collaborating with student influencers, and coordinating social media campaigns across campus. This position is designed for currently enrolled students interested in gaining experience in digital media and social media management within the External Affairs division.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with digital media team to create trendy, on-brand content for Angelo State's flagship Instagram account.
Brainstorm and create Instagram stories and reels.
Provide live event coverage of various ASU events for social media updates.
Collaborate with #RamWire Student Influencer Team on various social media campaigns.
Work within the office social media monitoring platform to maintain an up-to-date schedule of content.
Coordinate with departments across campus for social media campaigns as needed.

Requirements

Must be a currently enrolled student and registered for classes.
Strong working knowledge of Instagram and desire to stay up-to-date on the latest platform trends.
Able to generate ideas for Instagram and think outside of the box.
Ability to capture engaging photos/videos on your mobile device.
Strong writing skills preferable.
Working knowledge of Canva.
Strong understanding of deadlines and work responsibilities.
Reliability and ability to work independently.
