About the Role

The Digital Payments Product Manager will be a Digital Payments subject matter expert responsible for managing the development of new products and features based on client input. The role involves developing, owning, and executing enterprise and retail digital payments banking strategy, product vision, features, and designs within Santander. The position emphasizes collaboration across teams, improving customer satisfaction, conducting industry research, and managing the entire digital product lifecycle to deliver innovative payment solutions in a competitive financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage our digital payments strategy with detailed business requirements.
  • Manage the interaction with technology partners and/or vendors on the delivery of optimized member-centered intuitive payments offerings through our Platform.
  • Collaborate with, and manage internal relationships with leadership, marketing, customer experience, development, and implementation teams to manage backlog and release planning, define product roadmap, incorporate market direction and sort through diverse requirements.
  • Improve customer satisfaction and loyalty through a deep understanding of their needs and delivering best-in-class market solutions.
  • Conduct channel/product gap analysis, competitive research, and industry evaluations to extract actionable insights to inform the digital strategy and determine the long-term digital backlog.
  • Analyze client needs and market research to prioritize targeted responses for client segments.
  • Lead business case development, writing, and delivery, including ROI projections.
  • Plan, manage, and facilitate all phases of the digital life cycle from inception to marketplace introduction.
  • Manage multiple, concurrent agile teams to define and execute release plans on time and on budget, including rolling out business-critical changes rapidly.
  • Interface with QA and internal UAT resources to ensure requirements are met and approve finished product releases.
  • Set direction and review product documentation for the digital banking solution suite.
  • Track product and feature use to analyze implications for future enhancements.
  • Develop tools and processes to gather feedback for future product development.
  • Support Sales and Marketing in promoting products and ensuring revenue, business value, and client adoption goals are met.
  • Define business and operational KPIs for owned products, develop targets, and manage forecasting; partner with analytic teams on trend analysis and root cause identification.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Data & Analytics, or Technology-related fields.
  • 7+ years of related experience in product development and/or line experience working with products.
  • 2+ years of management experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with creating and managing business requirements and user stories for software platforms.
  • Experience in developing digital product backlog and roadmaps with aggressive delivery cycles.
  • Background in consumer payments with understanding of ACH, Wires, Zelle, Cross-border payments, Real-time payments, Debit cards.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and risk management in the financial industry.
  • Strong technology capabilities to manage major technology products end-to-end and develop scalable solutions.
  • Proven track record of product delivery and team leadership managing complex, concurrent programs.
  • Knowledge of external environment including competitors, regulatory environment, global economy, and latest innovations.
  • Strong experience with Agile change leadership from inception through execution and embedding.

  • The base pay range for this position is $93,750 - $160,000 per year, with variation based on skills, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and location.
