About the Role

The Digital Tools & Engineering Software Engineer - Level 5 role at Lockheed Martin involves supporting the F-35 digital thread within the Digital Tools and Engineering (DT&E) team. The position focuses on collaborating across engineering disciplines, leading digital tool engineering projects throughout the software development lifecycle, and working with cross-functional teams to improve processes and adopt emerging technologies. Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, a wide range of customers, and program personnel.
Participate in cross-functional projects and process improvement meetings.
Stay up to date on emerging technologies and tools.
Drive results by participating, leading, and executing all aspects of digital tool engineering projects, including design, coding, and testing.
Collaborate with teammates across physical sites and lead junior engineers.

Requirements

Experience in software management/configuration management (CM) tools and repositories such as JIRA, GIT, Subversion (SVN), etc.
Technical leadership experience supporting military and IT/Software support for military users, customers, and IT administrators.
Experience with Python, Powershell, Javascript, and/or other scripting languages.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level. U.S. Citizenship is required.

Nice to Have

Experience with IT Infrastructure Virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V, vCenter, VMWare ESX/NSX, etc).
Experience with F-35 ALIS/ODIN.
Experience in Application Programming Interface (API) use, design, and/or development (REST APIs, Web APIs, SOAP API, etc).
F-35 Program Access is a bonus.
