About the Role

You will be part of Merkle's expanding Customer Analytics practice that guides the strategy and supports the implementation and activation across channels from leading CDP solutions such as Adobe Experience Platform, ActionIQ, Lytics, mParticle, Salesforce C360A and Interaction Studio. The goal of our practice is to help clients deploy these platforms, maximize the usage, and demonstrate Return on investment from driving real-time personalization and omnichannel orchestration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead CDP engagements by providing expertise in the strategy, design, development and delivery of marketing omni-channel use cases and customer journeys.
  • Develop and execute roadmap for a CDP platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives, integration with organization’s Martech ecosystem, and deliver measurables results that drive incremental benefits.
  • Build frameworks required to define use cases based on a detailed understanding of clients’ needs and goals.
  • Conduct audience analyses using data attributes and business knowledge, developing audiences based on testing and targeting strategies.
  • Provide CDP in-platform expertise, data strategy, audience analytics for cross-channel customer engagement, testing, and measurement.
  • Guide use case development to improve business KPIs based on client goals, CDP functionality, data availability, and organizational readiness.
  • Manage transformation through journey mapping, insight development, development of transformational roadmaps, and value quantification.
  • Guide activation and orchestration of audiences across partners such as Google, Facebook, ESPs, DSPs, and app platforms.
  • Have a deep understanding of the nuances in marketing to customers across different verticals and environments.
  • Develop measurement frameworks, learning agendas and approach to demonstrate value realization and impact.
  • Be a subject matter expert, translating technology into organizational goals and measurable results.
  • Build and present data and technology use case recommendations and performance reports to clients.
  • Collaborate with leadership, partners and partner agencies to turn ideas into actionable plans.
  • Lead client meetings and discussions, define project goals and engagement approach, lead discovery sessions, workshops, and deliverable reviews, and manage daily delivery efforts.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, project management, storytelling, and communication skills.
  • Partner with project managers to develop detailed project plans, ensuring the timeliness, quality of deliverables, and alignment with client expectations.
  • Stay current with trends in the Adtech/Martech Ecosystems and provide thought leadership, driving innovation to meet client needs.
  • Report to VP, Analytics.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of experience in marketing technology strategy, preferably within digital agencies, consulting, martech, or adtech organizations.
  • Experience in the B2B and B2C environments, with a deep understanding of omnichannel marketing strategies.
  • Skilled in executing marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including search, display, email, site, and mobile.
  • Knowledge of customer journey mapping, segmentation and personalization.
  • Familiarity with CDPs/DMPs is preferred.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven problem-solving and consulting skills, with a proactive approach to taking initiatives.
  • In-depth knowledge of the end-to-end consulting process, from strategy design to execution.
  • Capable of summarizing important findings and insights and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
  • Strong client management skills, including managing expectations, delivery, and providing thought leadership.
  • Strong writing, presentation, and client-facing communication skills, with experience translating data analysis into actionable marketing recommendations and presentations; proficiency in PowerPoint is essential.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to iteratively incorporate feedback from both internal and external sources.
