About the Role

The Director, Brand Marketing - Diet Coke at Coca-Cola is responsible for managing an established brand or portfolio of brands to achieve category volume, share, and profit objectives. The role involves developing innovation strategies, understanding consumer behavior, and executing integrated marketing programs to enhance brand imagery and drive consumer engagement within the North America Operating Unit. The position requires leading cross-functional teams, managing P&L, and supporting key global and regional projects to maximize brand growth and synergy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage an established brand and/or a portfolio of brands to deliver company's category volume, share, and profit objectives.
  • Monitor marketplace changes to identify gaps and opportunities for revenue growth through innovation, new product concepts, or brand extensions.
  • Develop short and mid-term (1-3 years) innovation strategies and annual plans for brands within the North America Operating Unit.
  • Understand consumer attitudes and behaviors to create integrated marketing and communication programs that enhance brand imagery and influence consumer attitudes and behaviors.
  • Identify opportunities for volume, profit, connections, and assets; conduct competitive benchmarking and insight-based strategy development.
  • Inspire key customers and bottlers to support and accelerate brand growth in key markets and retail channels.
  • Work with cross-functional teams and agencies to develop and execute integrated marketing plans and supporting materials.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams, providing direction and managing timelines to achieve KPIs and objectives.
  • Support P&L management for brand net revenue, gross profit, and marketing expenses to meet financial targets.
  • Participate in global and regional projects to ensure maximum synergy and outcomes across markets.
  • Coach and develop marketing team members and participate in the selection of new marketing associates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5 or more years of experience in marketing.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a brand management role, stewarding brand initiatives to meet business and brand objectives.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing a team with a proven ability to deliver results through others.
  • Functional skills including strategic leadership, data-driven decision making, P&L management, and marketing plan development.
  • Proficiency in media planning, creative processes, consumer segmentation, digital media strategy, competitor analysis, SWOT analysis, brand positioning, social media strategies, channel management, and team management.
  • Current authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice to Have

  • Experience creating consumer-driven marketing plans to grow brand equity.
  • Master's degree in a related field.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing/Communications or related field.
  • 5+ years of marketing experience.
  • 2+ years in brand management and team management roles.
