About the Role

The Director, Business Development at CACI is responsible for expanding the Mission and Engineering Support Line of Business (LOB) in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. The role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in growing and expanding new and existing business within the federal contracting space, particularly with knowledge of NSA and CYBERCOM. The individual will leverage customer insights, industry networks, and internal capabilities to identify opportunities, develop pipelines, and lead large capture initiatives, reporting to the LOB Business Development SVP.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business development activities within the Annapolis Junction market for CACI's Mission and Engineering Support LOB with a primary focus on developing and winning new business.
  • Work closely with LOB Divisions and other functional support organizations to identify, develop, and qualify opportunities to achieve multi-year financial growth goals.
  • Collaborate across CACI and its other LOBs to achieve strategic objectives and increase CACI's brand within the customer market.
  • Develop winning teaming strategies, conduct competitive and price analysis, and prepare white papers and highly rated proposals.
  • Market CACI actively, establish customer expectations, and shape opportunities by creating white papers, sponsoring demonstrations, and responding to RFIs.
  • Organize and lead collaboration efforts to conceptualize needs and complete proposals and demonstrations.
  • Communicate opportunities and considerations to executive leadership via Milestone Reviews and other means to support timely decision-making.
  • Engage with customers to identify and shape opportunities, providing filtered, actionable intelligence to internal teams.
  • Develop on-contract growth opportunities for existing contracts.
  • Maintain a strong network of customer contacts and stay informed about major programs and upcoming initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 years of federal contracting business development experience, including at least five years with companies generating $1B+ annual revenue.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute a sustainable multi-year pipeline of opportunities annually.
  • Ability to proactively execute business development collaboratively with operational and functional leadership with minimal supervision.
  • Experience leading formal client presentations and building winning teams, including negotiating roles and participation.
  • Track record of developing, shaping, and winning opportunities greater than $75M.
  • Strong knowledge of the Shipley business development and capture framework.
  • Bachelor's degree or significant related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Top Secret / SCI clearance (Poly preferred).

Nice to Have

  • Minimum five years of business development experience specifically in the NSA services market.
  • Experience developing mission support, systems engineering, and technical application opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 years of federal contracting business development experience.
  • At least five years of business development experience with companies that have at least $1B+ annual revenue.
  • Proven ability to develop and work multiple large opportunities (greater than $75M).
  • Experience operating within a Shipley business development and capture framework.
  • Bachelor's degree or significant related experience.
