About the Role

The Director, Marketing - Pain Control at B. Braun Medical is responsible for managing the overall profitability of the pain control product line, developing and implementing marketing strategies, and leading cross-functional teams to increase market share and revenue. The role involves strategic planning, product management, market analysis, and collaboration with various departments to support product development and market growth within a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set strategic direction, goals, and objectives for Pain Control Marketing; develop product group marketing strategy.
  • Create and maintain an organized product management structure.
  • Monitor metrics to ensure organization is successfully meeting targets and objectives.
  • Collaborate with Pricing for price structure for the Pain Control products.
  • Evaluate product line gaps and opportunities and recommend internal projects, alliances, or line extensions.
  • Work collaboratively with Solution Management, Strategy, and Channel Development to increase market share and profitability.
  • Lead product line and market voice of customer roles within Product Incubator programs; ensure product requirement profiles and marketing input support R&D and product development.
  • Identify and lead Key Opinion Leader relationships and Trade Society support.
  • Manage current business to maintain and gain market share in served segments.
  • Work closely with Marketing Communications to develop advertising, collateral, and promotional programs.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain competitive terms of sale for customers.
  • Manage product launches to meet objectives.
  • Direct the selection, training, supervision, development, and evaluation of employees.
  • Oversee the marketing segment budget and expenses.
  • Prepare monthly reports for senior management on marketing plan implementation and goal attainment.
  • Seek and evaluate new business and market opportunities and provide input for new product development.
  • Participate in Global Network Teams (GNT) to represent US market interests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Seven or more years of medical device product marketing experience or a combination of sales, marketing, or engineering experience in the medical device industry.
  • Experience in marketing Pain Control products.
  • Experience in launching new products successfully.
  • Experience in new business development, structuring, and negotiating technology and product acquisitions.
  • Experience managing multiple professional teams.
  • Understanding of US acute (hospital) and non-acute (outpatient) market segments.
  • Proven success in recruiting, building, and leading marketing teams.
  • Experience working with international teams.

Nice to Have

  • MBA preferred.
  • Clinical nursing experience preferred.
  • Experience marketing high volume medical disposables preferred.
  • Experience in sales of medical products as a Sales Representative or Manager.
  • Experience managing mature products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Seven or more years of relevant experience in medical device marketing or related fields
