Director, Mobile App Product Management

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement product strategies for the MyBlock app that align with H&R Block's overall business objectives.
• Lead cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives and ensure successful product launches.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define the product roadmap and prioritize features based on client needs and market trends.
• Oversee the entire product lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features.
• Manage the development and enhancement of the MyBlock app, focusing on user experience, performance, and scalability.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within cross-functional squads, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
• Advocate for the needs of MyBlock app users, incorporating their feedback into product development.
• Monitor user engagement and satisfaction, using data-driven insights to inform product decisions.
• Work closely with marketing and customer support teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
• Develop and manage the budget for the MyBlock app, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
• Track and report on key performance metrics, including user growth, engagement, and revenue.
• Identify and capitalize on opportunities to monetize the MyBlock app, enhancing client value and driving revenue growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of overall business experience building and leading teams in product management with increasing levels of responsibility.
• 8+ years of experience as a product leader building mobile apps.
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• Proven track record of leading successful product teams and delivering high-impact products.
• Strong understanding of user experience design, agile development methodologies, and data analytics.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think strategically and execute methodically in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in managing budgets and financial performance.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in mobile app development.
• Strong analytical, experimentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Experience in the financial services or tax preparation industry is preferred but not required.
