Job Description

About the Role

The Director of Product, Growth position will report to the Chief Product Officer and is responsible for driving experimentation on product funnels, defining and executing strategies to engage and nurture customers, partnering with engineering, data, and marketing teams, leading product launches and cross-sell initiatives, developing APIs and embedded experiences for growth, and managing a small team of Product Managers. The role focuses on optimizing customer acquisition, engagement, and growth within a consumer digital lending or fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities

Drive experimentation on product funnels to optimize funnel performance and maximize the number of customers who originate a loan with Earnest.
Define and execute a product strategy to engage and nurture customers who are not yet ready to become Earnest customers, based on customer insights.
Partner with engineering, data, and marketing teams to ensure a strong foundation for testing, personalization, and funnel optimization.
Lead product launches, drive engagement, and cross-sell from existing Earnest customers.
Develop APIs and embedded experiences to facilitate growth from partners serving similar customer bases.
Lead and develop a small team of Product Managers as a player/coach.

Requirements

7+ years of experience launching and growing a successful consumer digital lending or fintech product.
2+ years of experience leading a team of Product Managers.
Experience optimizing an online customer acquisition funnel across multiple channels and products.
Experience growing engagement from an existing customer base and cross-selling or monetizing that engagement.
A data-driven philosophy influencing build and pivot decisions.
Deep experience setting up, running, and measuring A/B tests.
Ability to manage and optimize a testing roadmap based on opportunity size, customer insights, data analysis, and testing learnings.
Experience integrating martech infrastructure to enable growth through marketing and sales channels.
Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
Strong strategic thinking with attention to customer experience details.
Executive presence with cross-functional teams, including C-level.

Nice to Have

Experience with sophisticated testing methodologies such as contextual, multi-arm bandits.
Experience launching growth features or freemium offerings from 0-1.
Experience partnering closely with marketing teams to open new distribution channels.
Experience building embedded product experiences with partners.
